Pedal power!!!! A teacher’s quorum had a great desire to gather together and see each other and participate in a bike hike.  They really wanted to do a bike hike together as a quorum.  Due to the suspension of gatherings they thought their ability to meet together wasn’t possible.  They had to let go of the dream of pedaling together as a quorum.

However, when they got permission to meet again together as a small group, they quickly got their bike hike on the schedule.  The teacher’s quorum presidency set a date and location for the bike hike. They counseled together on the safety protocols that needed to be in place for the bike hike to move forward.   Biking was an activity that fit everyone’s interest in the quorum, built unity, got them outdoors and allowed them to practice social distancing.

As the date for the bike hike was fast approaching, the Teacher’s quorum presidency sent out reminders to everyone of the location and time of the event.  When the day came for the event, everyone got their own transportation to the site of the beginning of the bike hike. Getting their own transportation to the activity, helped ensure they kept social distancing guidelines.

The activity went off without a major complication. The adults and youth that participated in the activity enjoyed seeing each other and look forward to the opportunity to do more activities like this in the future.    The movements of a couple pedals created power that moved a quorum!! Pedal Power!!!
